Sheep Shearing

A skill you would usually see showcased at the Great Yorkshire Show. In this video, Yorkshire sheep shearer Andrew Percy demonstrates how British sheep are sheared and explains why this is so important for the animal’s welfare. Wool from shorn fleeces has many uses, from providing yarn for knitting and material for clothing, insulation, mattresses and carpets.
